A black belt under the legendary Carlson Gracie Sr., Olavo developed his foundation within one of the most respected and dominant lineages in the history of Jiu-Jitsu. His style reflects the essence of this system: pressure, control, efficiency, and relentless forward movement.
Over the years, he has played a key role in the international growth of Jiu-Jitsu and MMA, working with elite athletes and organizations around the world.

Professional Career

Olavo Abreu was also a key figure at Brazilian Top Team, where he served as the head coach responsible for the professional Jiu-Jitsu program during one of the most competitive and influential eras in the history of the sport.
He later went on to work as Head Coach and instructor in some of the most prestigious training environments globally, including:

With over 30 years of experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, João built his career through consistent dedication to high-level training and competition.
He has spent more than two decades living and training in California, where he established himself as a leading figure in the international Jiu-Jitsu community.

Celso Rolim is an international coach, athlete, and event organizer, known for his leadership, teaching ability, and deep commitment to the development of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu worldwide.

Experience & Background
Celso began his journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 1998 in Petrópolis, Brazil. Early in his career, he made the decision to pursue the sport professionally, moving to Rio de Janeiro to train at Brazilian Top Team during one of the most competitive eras of Jiu-Jitsu and MMA.

Within this high-level environment, he developed his technical foundation and trained alongside some of the biggest names in the sport, shaping his approach to both competition and teaching.

During this period, he trained under Olavo Abreu, who was responsible for leading the Jiu-Jitsu program of the team during its golden era — an experience that played a key role in his development and long-term connection within the sport.
